Meeting was called to order at 5:30 by Susan Hunter
Motion by Gary Rayburn and seconded by Susan Dinwoody to accept the February meeting minutes

Reviewed all of the job duties for the library open house on April 24 to make sure all jobs are assigned
Yard signs saying I Love the Alma Library are assembled and will be available beginning in April. Signs are free but if you want to make a donation, it would be appreciated. Signs at circulation desk
Previewed the slide show "Alma Public Library Through the Years". It will be shown and narrated at the library open house.
Lorrie Taylor had a few announcements:
On November 10, 2024, Ric Mixter (history speaker and author) will give a presentation on the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. This event will be held at the library.
The library is getting four new chairs by the fireplace and two new chairs for the genealogy room. Chairs were funded by our group.
The City of Alma received a grant to form a Parks and Recreation department. Part of the grant money will go toward library programming. We will be able to help with planning ideas and events.
Susan Hunter will be talking to the Alma City Commission about our open house and accomplishments this past year. The meeting is April 9 at 6:00 p.m. and any show of support would be appreciated.
Our next monthly meeting will be one week early so it happens before the open house. Next meeting is Thursday, April 18, 2024.
